These three images are the ones that I have chosen for my final images. I chose these ones because I think they are the strongest out of them all, meaning they look more professional to actually be on a clothing website. (River Island, etc)

Photo shoot
Overall I think this shoot went well but I think that the lighting could of been better. My initial idea was to produce suitable photographs which could relate to ''River Island'' which I said in my project plan.

Digital Media
Digital media are any media that are encoded in a machine-readable format. Digital media can be created, viewed, distributed, modified and preserved on computers.
Photoshop is an example of digital media. A lot of advertisements use this editing site, for example, magazine covers. Every magazine brand that gets published always has been edited before it actually does gets sent of to be published.
This magazine cover is a brand called ''Marie Claire'', this is an example of before and after it has been edited on photoshop. As you can see clearly that they have edited the lines around her face and evened out her skin tone and this would have been done using a mixture of tools. For example, the spot healing tool and the surface blur to make her skin look flawless.
Digital media is used widely across commercial image making to enhance the quality of the work, this can be within posters, CD covers, and even exhibited work. There is a potential to push boundaries and create things that you wouldn't be able to do without actually using digital media. For example, graphic design, posters, multiplicity, these are all done by the help of digital media.

Project Plan
Project Plan
Here are screenshots of River Islands' homepage. The reason on why I have chosen this specific style is because this is what I want to achieve in my imagery and
I want to replicate the lighting styles that they have used when it comes down to doing my shoot.
For my plan, I will be using a photographic technique called high-key lighting and I will be doing this in the college studio. I have decided to use this technique because I am linking it to what an online clothing shop would do to advertise the items more clearly, and I have chosen ''River Island'' as my example.

High-key lighting
High key photography is a modern lighting technique that is based on using mid-tone greys through to bright whites. The use of bright lights and lighting to eliminate shadow reduced the contrasts in the picture. This technique has become a genre of it's own but, it is now mostly used in fashion and portrait photography.
A basic studio lighting set up for high-key photography consists of a key light and a fill light, with your key light two times the brightness of the fill. The background should be lit independently and the background lights should be at least one stop brighter than your subject lighting.

Low-key lighting
Low-key lighting is a modern lighting technique that contains predominantly dark tones and colours. Like high-key images, they convey atmosphere and mood. But where a high-key image feels airy and light, a low-key is usually dramatic and full of mystery. And where high-key lighting over-lights the subject to reduce contrast, low-key lighting creates striking contrast through reducing lighting.
This diagram shows a simple lighting set up for low-key lighting. If you wanted to provide a little backlighting, you could place a reflector and add a another flash behind the subject and off to the side.
